ARLINGTON -- The Rangers are "considering" signing free-agent outfielder Andruw Jones, general manager Jon Daniels said Saturday. A deal is not yet done. Jones recently worked out with hitting coach Rudy Jaramillo and the Rangers are considering him as a "reclamation" project, even with a crowded outfield. Right now, the Rangers have David Murphy in left field, Josh Hamilton in center and Nelson Cruz in right. Marlon Byrd can play all three positions, and Frank Catalanotto and Brandon Boggs also remain on the roster.
